2021-22 COMMUNITY CONVENING COHORT PARTNER
CLAIMING THE VISUAL NARRATIVE - NEWARK PUBLIC ARTS PROJECT

Picture
As an artist I have conducted over 500 interviews with local artists on my YouTube channel. I have published Where Are the Teachers (Xulon 2009), produced 3 movies, The Artist Recreates the World the first 60 Interview, A Journey Toward Conscious Creating and Default of Whiteness. Working at Newark TV since 2015, I have produced and recorded over 3,000 events. Currently, I have started a cartoon apparel line called Tartwtoons and have ghostwritten 3 books.

While working at Newark TV since 2015, I have produced and recorded over 3,000 events. The access TV station covers the major events promoted and created my Mayor Baraka and The City of Newark. I also have written over 250 songs. In 2015 I also had 5 active blogs. They aren't active in 2021. My brand The Artist Recreates the World purports that artist must return to indigenous models to recreate a culture that focuses on economics!

The 1967 rebellion in Newark along with slavery has inflected dysfunction on the country and the city. Similar to neglect and abuse received by individuals, the abuse must be addressed. Introspection must be done if healing is expected. This is why I create. My art creates that healing and makes other people create to promote healing. It does not matter. I can be music, writing, video, cartooning, anything to move the healing process along.I have been taking photographs since 1975. Videotaping since 1980 and I have a degree in Communication & Culture (Deans list). I am a published author.
